We’re in the thick of holiday season now—there’s no turning back. And we’ve found the answer to literally every holiday-related conundrum you could ever encounter. Ready for it? Can’t keep the kids entertained when everyone’s home for winter break? Bake cookies. Not sure what to gift to your co-workers, kids’ teachers, or neighbors this year? Bake cookies. Holiday season stress getting to you? Bake cookies. Sensing a theme?
There’s a reason cookies of every kind are so ubiquitous this time of year. They’re tiny parcels of sugary, seasonal, sharable joy, and we’ve got you covered for every taste and preference. And we’ve got a confession: As much as we love the unexpected, out-of-the-box flavors and mashups to mix things up—we can’t wait to start baking with Baileys baking chips—this year we’re feeling the simple, perfected classics a little more. Chocolate Crinkles, simple Iced Shortbread Cookies, and a basic (but irresistible) Rugelach are all at the top of our baking list this year.

If you’re looking for more adventurous, trendy desserts to be the talk of your holiday potluck or office party though, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered too. This beautifully golden Cookie Butter Cheesecake is a revelation, as is this Apple-Pear Pie with Cookie Butter Caramel. This Oreo Cookie Pie and Tiramisu Cake are also strong contenders for a wow-worthy treat.
Feeding a crowd of guests during the holidays can be tricky—it’s difficult to find easy, crowd-pleasing favorites that’ll keep even the pickiest of eaters fed and happy. Luckily we’ve got some easy hacks for you to make it all run a little smoother this year. This tasty big-batch oatmeal is the perfect, hands-off breakfast for crowd, as is this cheesy, savory Christmas Breakfast Casserole. Stock the freezer with smoothies for that newly vegan nephew who’s home from college. For dinner or lunch, grab some rotisserie chicken (don’t worry, we figured out which grocery store has the best one)  and transform it into everything from stir-fries to casseroles sandwiches. And if all else fails, delivery is always an option.
And if you’re a procrastinator on holiday gifts, we’re not judging—we’re here to help. Williams Sonoma has some great holiday deals, Amazon has some fantastic, giftable pans, and these aprons are the perfect gift for the cooking enthusiast in your life. Seriously, they’re adorable, and are on our own wish list this season too. And, if you’re really stumped on what to gift, what have we learned? Homemade cookies are where it’s at.
