Wave goodbye to winter and say hello to spring! The first official day is HERE! (Insert huge smile and a couple leaps for joy)

I don't know about you, but this day puts me in the best mood. Being a Florida girl, I am a lover of all things warm weather related and this day means that I have the perfect excuse to NOT wear my long pants and boots. My flip-flops are coming out and no matter what the temperature, my shorts are resurfacing in my daily wardrobe and are taking over my chest of drawers.

But enough about clothing, let's talk about food. Here are some drool-worthy, eye-catching, and to-die-for spring recipes:

This Spicy Chipotle Shrimp Salad definitely screams "winter is over."I have put the chili and slow-cooker recipes behind me and started looking towards grilled recipes, brightly colored cakes, and some of my favorite fruits and vegetables, such as strawberries and asparagus. These seasonal gems are the reason for my current longing to hit the grocery store isles.

To celebrate, I thought it only appropriate to make a recipe that included strawberries. I chose to dive into a decadent dessert (no surprise there) and went for Strawberry-Banana Pudding. This recipe is SO quick and easy and absolutely perfect for a busy weeknight when you want to mix up your meal plans. Friends, family, even kids will love this sweet yet healthy treat from Cooking Light Fresh Food Fast.
