You heard it here first, folks: Cardamom is THE spice of the season.
The Indian spice is popping up everywhere these days. Cardamom Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix and Cardamom Pasta Sauce are among Whole Foods’ new fall items, while Starbucks released a Cardamom Latte in Canadian stores just this week.
Cardamom has a long and illustrious history. It’s one of the world’s oldest spices, with records of its use dating back at least 4,000 years. Ancient Egyptians utilized it for medicinal and ritualistic purposes, while Greeks and Romans used the aromatic spice as perfume.
There’s no doubt about it, we couldn’t be more excited to experiment with the spice of the 2018.
