This Disney Park Treat Got a Pumpkin Makeover—And We’re Not Sure How We Feel About It
Did this really need to be made pumpkin-flavored?
If you’re a Disney park fanatic, chances are you’re well-acquainted with Dole Whip. It’s the pineapple soft-serve concoction served at the amusement parks at select locations, and its attained a near cult-like following from Disney fans, globally, with everything from Dole Whip-themed merchandise to copycat recipes permeating the Internet. (Don’t worry we’ve got our own, too.)
As we reach peak pumpkin spice-fever this season, with everything from pumpkin spice doughnuts, to pumpkin spice cheese, it only makes sense that Disney parks would hop on the insanely popular autumnal trend and roll out their own take: the pumpkin soft serve whip, as spotted by @PBandJellyJenn on Instagram. It’s a cheerful, near-fluorescent orange, has that signature soft serve swirl, and is decked out with seasonally appropriate candy corn, because, of course it is.
You won’t find this pumpkin edition of Dole Whip in the California or Florida parks just yet though—so far, the soft serve treat has only been spotted at Aulani, Disney’s Hawaiian Vacation Club, at the Ulu Café, according to the The Disney Food Blog, and it’s unclear if there are plans to debut it any other location. Stay tuned.
