Woman Arrested After Trying to Recreate 'Dirty Dancing' Scene in a Wine Store
Well, it looks like somebody put baby in a corner.
Why does the best news always come out of Florida?
Take this report from TCPalm, for instance: A 24-year-old woman was arrested last month after trying to re-enact a scene from Dirty Dancing in a wine shop, the manager alleges.
Cindy Barrientos was arrested and taken to the Martin County Jail on September 17, according to Martin County sheriff’s records, after deputies were called to Total Wine & More “in reference to two women who were believed to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance.”
For those of you who live under a rock, Dirty Dancing is a 1987 movie about a shy teenager who falls in love with her super-sexy-but-super-unavailable dance instructor. Drama, romance, heartbreak, and a lot of extreme dance moves ensue.
One of the women was escorted out, while Barrientos, who I presume did not have the time of her life, was found in her vehicle.
First things first: It’s not clear if she intended to drive the car, but it definitely seems like an Uber was in order for the pair that night. Drinking and driving is never OK, even when you’re trying to recreate the greatest dance move of all time.
Outrageous irresponsibility aside, the report doesn’t say exactly which dance move Barrientos and her friend were trying to recreate.
If you’re even the slightest bit familiar with the movie, though, I think the answer is pretty clear:
