Champion and General Mills Team Up for an Apparel Line
Finally, getting cereal on your shirt is a good thing.
Over the past six months, many of us have spent a whole lot of time sitting around the house, doing little more with our days than eating cereal while wearing a full sweatsuit. There’s certainly no shame in that, as, it’s arguably been the most responsible thing you can at a time like this.
If you want to achieve some level of brand synergy between the cereal you eat and the casual, comfortable clothing you wear, then you should be thrilled to learn about a new collab between Champion Athleticwear and General Mills that just so happens to also support a good cause.
This week, Champion unveiled a line of apparel inspired by the classic aesthetics of General Mills’ most popular cereals, including Lucky Charms, Wheaties, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Each brand’s iconography is available on both hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts in adults and kids sizes. The Sweatshirts go for $75 for adults and $55 for kids, while the t-shirts are $35 and $30, respectively.
In addition to allowing you to integrate your favorite breakfast into your wardrobe, the partnership serves a greater purpose. To celebrate the collaboration, Champion will help No Kid Hungry by donating up to 300,000 meals. At a time when the pandemic-induced economic downturn means up to one in four kids could deal with hunger this year, every little bit will make a difference.
