Mini Chocolate Cream Pies
There are many things to love about these mini chocolate cream pies. First, they're perfect for the summer because they don't require you to turn on your oven and heat up your house. Second, you can buy all the materials at your grocery store. The only thing that involves a little bit of work is mixing up the chocolate pudding mix. And third, these tiny pies are so, so easy and quick. It took 10-15 minutes to prepare them, and then you just pop them in the freezer for a few minutes!
These pies are made up of just five ingredients! Phyllo shells, pudding mix, milk, whipped cream, and cocoa powder. I had never used mini phyllo shells before this, but they're as easy as it gets. The shells have a nice, flaky texture, too. They came 15 to a box, so I bought two and had a tiny amount of pudding left over.
I made these pies right before some family came over for lunch on Saturday, put them in the freezer, and they were ready to be eaten by the time we were done with lunch. I'm always on dessert duty, and we were planning a pretty large lunch, so these pies were the perfect, sweet snacks to munch on afterwards. You can have a couple without feeling like you've had too much. They're light and not too rich, but they will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth.
You should definitely make these mini chocolate cream pies the next time you have family or guests over. You can also change up the pudding and go with whichever flavor you want!
