5 Hilarious Food-Focused Comedy Sketches to Help You Through Your Hump Day
Wednesday's are hard. It's halfway through the week, but you still feel like you have a mountain of work to climb over before you reach the weekend. Believe me--I feel you. If you're in need of a little distraction and/or encouragement to revive your soul on this loooooong Hump Day... I speak from experience when I say taking a little laugh break can help. I give you some of my favorite food-related comedy clips (cause let's be real... food makes everything better) and wish you well, fellow weekday warriors.
#1. Jerry Seinfeld - The Supermarket Experience
Jerry Seinfeld, thank you for calling out what we're all thinking--seriously though, why does the supermarket have to be so complicated? [To be honest, I don't exactly know what mesquite means either.] You need to keep watching at least until you hit the part about seedless watermelon.
#2. Kevin Hart - Don't Pick Off My Plate
Kevin Hart is one of the greats, and this sketch on having dinner with his girlfriend is perfect on so many levels. Note to self: When a guy offers you some of his food, he doesn't actually want you to eat it. Makes sense, I guess. That street runs both ways.
#3. Brian Regan - Food Labels
If you've ever read a food label and multiplied it by four because you know how much you'll actually be eating, this Brian Regan clip is a must-watch. For real, who's legitimately eating half a cup of ice cream and calling it quits? Nobody.
#4. Jim Gaffigan - Hot Pockets
I dare say that "Hot Pockets" is probably one of the most well-known comedy sketches about food out there. If you haven't seen it, educate yourselves, people.
#5. Tim Hawkins - Have You Eaten?
This bit on moms obsessively making sure their children have eaten is gospel truth. And if your mom is anything like mine, she'll make sure the whole neighborhood is fed, too. Gotta love 'em.
