This just in: Pomegranates are the king of all fruits. Have you ever wondered all the magical things you can prepare with these seasonal seeds? Wonder no more, because today we're exploring the wonderful world of all things pomegranate. Deliciously crowned, this fruit can be eaten fresh for a delightful snack, sprinkled atop a salad for flavor and flair, juiced, blended into a smoothie, and can also bedazzle your favorite cocktail.
Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let's start out with a tutorial on how to properly dive into these bright red beauties. There are many ways to crack open a Pomegranate, but the proper way is to score along each vein lengthwise to the bottom of the fruit. This allows it to open without much force applied and with minimal mess (unlike the wooden spoon technique).
Now that we have our Pomegranate seeds separated from the peel, let's juice them! Personally, I find it hard to resist snacking at this point - I always save a few as a tasty reward.
