Going nuts over here.

Nut butters are kind of my thing. Every day, I spend at least 10 minutes reminding myself that a proper serving size is about two tablespoons, which is far too little to satiate my nut butter desires. It honestly makes me very sad if I dwell on this fact of life for too long. But we’re not here to talk about Sad Nut Butter Thoughts, okay? This is strictly a positive post about the beauty of a delicious spoonful of peanut butter. That feeling of unbridled joy after a satisfying scoop of PB (creamy or crunchy–I’m not here to discriminate) is exactly what I experienced when I came across Bnutty Peanut Butter.

Let’s be clear–I’ve had my fair share of flavored peanut butters before. I feel like I still remember the day in high school when I discovered Peanut Butter & Co.’s Cinnamon Raisin Swirl peanut butter, and you could say that I’ve tried all of Big Spoon Roaster’s flavors, as well. Flavored nut butter is not a revelatory food product to me, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t get super excited when I come across new brands and flavors.

Lucky for me, there are plenty of snack samples that come through this office, and one of those snacks was Bnutty Peanut Butter. Strewn across a colleague’s desk, these tiny, 2-ounce jars of peanut butter were basically asking me to try them all. So, I had no other option but to do so (#journalism). The results? Amazing. Like any food that’s available in multiple varieties, some flavors were better than others, but overall, these are a fun spin on your classic peanut butter snack. Plus, these 2-ounce, highly-packable jars make so much sense. Who puts makeup in their bag anymore, anyway? It’s all about packing healthy fats, now. I feel compelled to put all of these in my carry-on on my next flight and strut through TSA Security like the bad a**, peanut-butter loving flyer that I am.

If you’re looking to up your peanut butter game and get in on some of these flavors, here’s my advice. Start with the “Java Energy.” This flavor, which is bursting with strong notes of espresso and dark chocolate, was my top choice. Warm this baby up and drizzle it over a bowl of vanilla ice cream for the most decadent, luxurious dessert of your life. Don’t ask questions–just do it. Some other flavors that I can seriously get behind are the “Totally Toffee”, “S’More Dreams,” and “Irresistable Pretzel.” The Bnutty products strike the perfect balance of salty and sweet, and that is something I can truly appreciate. Whether you’re new to the flavored peanut butter game, or you’re like me and you’ve been around the block a few times, you’re definitely going to want to add this brand to your “must-try” list. And make sure to snag a couple 2-ounce jars–it’s about to become your most important carry-on.
