Savory Charcuterie Bread Recipe

If you’re looking for an impressive bread recipe, this is it. Meet lard bread: We’re talking meaty, savory, and yeasty, perfect for a crowd, and let’s not forget beautiful. The swirl from the meat and cheese goes throughout the bread, which is slightly dense and chewy, but in the best way.

Classic Focaccia Bread

Classic Focaccia Bread Recipe

Our classic, standard focaccia recipe yields an oily (but not overpowering!) and flavorful loaf that’s super crisp on the bottom, just like a really good pizza crust. If you have the right tools, focaccia isn’t difficult. Letting the dough sit overnight helps it relax and will make a better bread.

Homemade Crescent Rolls with Cornmeal Recipe

Sure, you could make crescent rolls from store-bought, refrigerated dough, but for holidays and other special occasions, surprise everyone with buttery, pillowy homemade rolls. The key to the recipe is making a porridge with the cornmeal (in Step 1), which allows you to add more moisture to the dough,

This Whole-Wheat Braided Egg Bread Is Perfect for Easter

This Whole-Wheat Braided Egg Bread Is Perfect for Easter Recipe

Our beautiful Easter centerpiece bread offers a healthier take on the classic egg- and butter-enriched bread. It’s made completely with white whole-wheat flour and less added sugar (in this case, honey) than many traditional recipes. Our techniques and ingredient choices leave you with a soft, fluffy, lightly sweet bread that’ll garner raves: The soaking step at the beginning allows the dense flour to hydrate more fully, resulting in a more tender bread, and the vital wheat gluten—which you’ll find near the yeast and flour in well-stocked supermarkets—aids in tenderness as well. The colored eggs are decorative, though you could eat them if you’d like (they’ll be overcooked). If they discolor from baking, simply twist to remove them, and replace with more vibrant eggs. The finished bread is gloriously large and serves a crowd. If you have leftovers, try slicing and toasting for breakfast—or using for French toast or bread pudding.

Pink Lemonade Rolls Recipe

This playful take on the classic orange roll makes for a perfect treat for Mother’s Day, a bridal brunch, baby showers, or the next time you wanna bring a little extra cheer to you weekend breakfast spread. A tender, buttery dough encases a sticky lemon filling and is then glazed with a bright pink lemonade glaze. This sweet-tart glaze, which we make using powdered pink lemonade mix, is also a great way to spruce up a bundt cake, pound cake, muffins, or scones. We opted for Country Time brand lemonade mix, which you can find on the beverage aisle of your favorite supermarket.

Duck fat can be found at specialty stores, but you can substitute chicken or turkey fat as well. Make sure to purchase active dry yeast (as opposed to rapid rise) for this recipe.

Start the oven very hot; it will lose a bit of heat when you open the door to add the egg. If you start it at 500°F, it will still be around 475°F by the time you shut the door. For a soft and runny yolk, serve the focaccia immediately.

Golden Raisin and Honey Challah Recipe

This traditionally Jewish bread requires 2 rising times, but the rich anf fluffy result is definitely worth it. Toast it, top it with jam, or use leftovers in French toast. You can also use dark raisins, dried cranberries, or omit the raisins completely, if desired. Divide the dough into 3 pieces for easier braiding.
