Herbes de Provence is a seasoning blend that can be used to season meat, poultry or vegetable dishes. Look for the blend in the spice section of the grocery store. If you can't find it, you can easily make your own. Simply combine the following:
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons dried savory
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 teaspoon dried lavender
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 crushed bay leaf
