While campaigning back in March 2016 (oh how that seems like many lifetimes ago), Donald Trump told the "very fake news" organization CNN that those responsible for drafting international laws banning torture were “eggheads.” Well, it’d seem that at least in one small, symbolic way, the president’s own words have left him with literal egg on (as?) his face.

That’s because one food blogger known for transforming eggs into works of art has taken aim at Trump in an Instagram post that’s going viral. With a frying pan as her canvas, 20-year-old student Michelle Baldini (who, aptly enough, hails from Mexico) uses yolks and whites to create insanely detailed imagery of everything from Great Britain to the Starbucks logo for the more than 22,000 people who follow @the_eggshibit. But her post about Trump, which uses a yolk for his signature mane, is really tremendous. Believe me, everyone is saying it’s one of the most beautiful eggs they’ve ever seen.

The caption accompanying Baldini’s evocative egg piece asks a simple question: “Why make America great when it can be eggscelent?” Maybe if we all strove to be eggscelent to each other, the world would be a better place. In the meantime, let’s hope Baldini can keep dreaming up more egg art before Trump pushes the USDA to just ban eggs entirely in response.
