It's always nice to have nice coffee
"Never go to a party empty-handed." It's one of those social mantras that I learned at a very young age from my mother. Whether it's a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread, or a book that the host or hostess or nonbinary person throwing a party might enjoy, it's always a good idea to bring a little something to contribute. Of course, in my early 20s, I often witnessed my friends abide by the letter, if not the spirit, of the law (no one wants your leftover Schlitz or some whiskey in a Ziplock bag, Gary), but I am pleased to report that the situation has improved somewhat.
Still, it can be tricky, in this whirlwing holiday vortex, to remember a nice thing to bring to a holiday party. But there is a solution, and that is Blue Bottle's Whole Bean Coffee in a Can. These sleekly packaged bundles are pretty much what they sound like—six ounces of very good coffee beans in a sleek white can that keeps them fresh until you want to use them. It's the kind of gift that's good to grab a bunch of and then distribute when you forget about getting something else. There come in various bean options, including a decaf one.
What's particularly nice about these cans is that, aside from being both stylish and something your friends will actually probably use, they're also one of those gifts that isn't just a contribution to the party, but something for the person hosting to enjoy later. Who doesn't need a good cup of coffee after hosting a party, anyway?
