Bring on the festive treats
Halloween literally just happened and Thanksgiving is still weeks away, so you know what that means! Time for Christmas! Ha ha ha, ho ho ho [weeping]. Yes, ’tis the season of joy already at Dunkin’ Donuts, which wasted no time yesterday announcing a series of festive treats and drinks to ring in a holiday that is still 52 whole Earth days away. In a release, the company introduced the world to its new Candy Cane Crunch Donut, a “yeast donut with vanilla flavored buttercreme filling, topped with white icing and crushed candy cane pieces.” It also welcomed a new Boston Kreme Croissant Donut, a “glazed croissant donut filled with Bavarian creme and finished with a chocolate icing drizzle.” As for drinks, Dunkin’ is whipping up some Peppermint Mochas and a whole lineup of Crème Brulée macchiatos, lattes, and coffees. Can’t you feel the holiday spirit taking hold of your soul at the very thought of it? Or is it your blood sugar preemptively reaching catastrophic levels? Whatever, right? It’s Christmas!
"The holiday season represents one of our favorite times as on-the-go people look to our festive beverages and treats to keep on running throughout the busy weeks ahead," said Jeff Miller, Dunkin' Brands' Executive Chef and Vice President of Product Innovation. "With our new Crème Brulée coffees, Candy Cane Crunch Donut and Boston Kreme Croissant Donut, we look forward to creating daily moments of joy and bringing smiles to our guests as they celebrate this wonderful time of the year.”
In related but not Christmas-y breakfast news, Dunkin’ also announced yesterday that it’s bringing back its Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Breakfast Sandwich. It’s served on a croissant and includes an egg, a slice of American cheese, and four strips of bacon coated in a brown sugar and black pepper seasoning. You can also get it as a Wake Up Wrap. Ho ho ho!
