8 Places Where Veterans Can Get Free Breakfast on Veterans Day
Serve your country, get served free breakfast
Veterans Day is observed on November 11, and it's a chance for Americans to come together to thank the brave women and men who have fought—and are still fighting—for the safety and security of this country. That's why many restaurants offer free food for veterans on Veterans Day as their way of extending gratitude for service. And veterans and active duty military personnel who have a soft spot for bacon, pancakes, and doughnuts are in luck, because there are plenty of restaurants where they can get a free breakfast on Veterans Day. Plus, quite a few of these Veterans Day freebies last all day, so you can get breakfast anytime.
For most of these Veterans Day promotions, you'll need to bring along your military ID, some other proof of military service, or wear your uniform. And even though the meal is free, it's always a good idea to tip your server.
