Though you’re increasingly unlikely to know them for their disappearing, uniquely-roofed dine-in locations, you can always count on Pizza Hut to be an innovator in the field of stuffing cheese inside of things that aren’t normally stuffed with cheese.

Though some authors and linguists have argued that “cellar door” is the most elegantly beautiful two word phrase in the English language, I’d argue instead that “free pizza” is even better. Given that October is apparently National Pizza Month, you can expect that word to be tossed around quite a bit in the weeks ahead.

The golden era of 30-minutes-or-its-free pizza delivery may be gone, but that doesn’t mean people don’t want their pie to arrive at their door as fresh as possible. So Pizza Hut is working on a potential solution: a fully-automated, robot-run pizza kitchen loaded into the flatbed of a Toyota Tundra… uh, of course.

During a presentation at 2018’s Consumer Electronics Show, Pizza Hut announced plans for an automated delivery car and the Twitter account for sci-fi Netflix series Black Mirror reminded us why that is a terrible idea.
