To make simple syrup, combine equal amounts of sugar and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute or until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Simple syrup keeps for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container in the fridge.

Ingredients

1/2 cup El Tesoro tequila blanco
1/4 cup Del Maguey San Luis Del Rio mezcal
6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
6 tablespoons simple syrup
2 teaspoons pomegranate molasses

Preparation

1. Combine all ingredients; stir with a whisk. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined colander into a bowl.
