Whole-Wheat Garlic Pita Chips

Pita chips are a tasty, nutritious base for dips and spreads such as hummus and salsa. They also make a crisp accompaniment to salads and soups.

  • Yield: 6 servings (serving size: 8 chips)


  • 3 (6-inch) whole-wheat pitas, split horizontally
  • Olive oil–flavored cooking spray
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder


1. Preheat oven to 350°.

2. Cut each pita half into 8 wedges, creating 48 wedges. Arrange wedges in single layers on 2 baking sheets. Coat wedges with cooking spray; sprinkle evenly with salt and garlic powder.

3. Bake at 350° for 12 to 14 minutes or until toasted. Cool. Store in an airtight container.

Place wedges on baking sheet

Spray pita wedges with cooking spray

Sprinkle salt and garlic powder over pita wedges
