Pita chips are a tasty, nutritious base for dips and spreads such as hummus and salsa. They also make a crisp accompaniment to salads and soups.

1. Preheat oven to 350°.
2. Cut each pita half into 8 wedges, creating 48 wedges. Arrange wedges in single layers on 2 baking sheets. Coat wedges with cooking spray; sprinkle evenly with salt and garlic powder.
3. Bake at 350° for 12 to 14 minutes or until toasted. Cool. Store in an airtight container.
