White Peach Sangria
This fruity-spicy beverage is even better when made two days ahead.
Yield: Makes 4 quarts
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 (750 ml) bottles dry white wine
- 3/4 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup orange liqueur
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 3 white peaches cut into wedges and halved
- 3 oranges, sliced
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 3 Granny Smith apples, sliced and quartered
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 4 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
- 12 whole cloves
Preparation
- Combine sugar and boiling water in a 4-quart container, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add wine and remaining ingredients. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Remove cinnamon and cloves; serve over ice.
