White Peach Sangria

This fruity-spicy beverage is even better when made two days ahead.

  • Yield: Makes 4 quarts

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 (750 ml) bottles dry white wine
  • 3/4 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 white peaches cut into wedges and halved
  • 3 oranges, sliced
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 3 Granny Smith apples, sliced and quartered
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • 12 whole cloves

Preparation

Combine sugar and boiling water in a 4-quart container, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add wine and remaining ingredients. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Remove cinnamon and cloves; serve over ice.
