White Bean Spread with Sage and Lemon
This spread is similar to hummus, but the predominant flavor is sage instead of garlic. Serve with pita wedges or French bread.

Ingredients
- 1 (15.5-ounce) can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon dried rubbed sage
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor; process until smooth. Serve immediately, or cover and chill until ready to serve.
