Combine first 5 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add beef to bag; seal. Marinate in refrigerator at least 2 hours, turning bag occasionally.
Remove beef from bag; discard marinade. Sprinkle beef evenly with salt and pepper. Heat a large cast-iron grill pan over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add beef to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.
Delicious! I made the whole recipe for just two Omaha tenderloin steaks and let them marinate for about 8 hours. The flavor was terrific--absolutely company worthy. I paired it with the butternut squash gratin of the same issue and brussel sprouts.
We had this last night for dinner and it was delicious. We made it exactly as the recipe reads except that we used a thick cut sirloin instead of tenderloin. The flavor was just a little sweet with just a tiny bit of heat to make it interesting. Lots of really good flavors blending together in this one. We grilled over hardwood charcoal. This will definitely be repeated this summer. Served with a tomato salad with whole milk mozzarella slices and fresh basil, olive oil salt and fresh cracked pepper and a baked potato. Good and easy!
I marinated for about 5 hours and we barbecued the steaks on our Webber. They were very tender and delicious. Wouldn't hesitate to make this for guests. I served along side garlic-mashed potatoes and oven-roasted asparagus.
