Whipping Cream Frosting

Yield about 2 cups


  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 5 to 6 tablespoons whipping cream

How to Make It

  1. Combine butter, shortening, and salt in a medium mixing bowl; beat well. Add sugar to creamed mixture alternately with cream, beginning and ending with sugar. Beat until smooth.
