Watermelon and Cucumber Tonic

Great on a hot day!

My husband and I loved this cocktail. We both had ours with vodka. Another friend had hers virgin and had several servings. You gotta love cukes in your beverages to love this drink. There were a few people who weren't keen on the taste. It is a very particular flavor, but I thought it was absolutely delicious. I may try to put extra mint in it if I make it again. The only downside is that it's very labor intensive.

Who'd have thought this would get 5 stars. Very refreshing, definately a keeper.

I enjoyed this drink, even without the gin, and thought it was very refreshing. The other people I made it for, though, did not like it. I think they were expecting a sweeter drink, which this definitely is not. My husband said it tasted like drinking a salad.

Great summer drink. Did not have the cheesecloth so our drinks were stronger both in color and flavor. Liked it though. Only caution - watch how much mint you put in, it had a very strong flavor.

ooh, this is good! I needed a use for some slightly overripe cucumbers from my garden -- and watery slightly bitter cukes are perfectly fine in this recipe.

This is my new summer cocktail! We used vodka instead of gin and subbed sprite for ginger ale. It's fab!

Fresh, light and flavorful; I'll definitely make again. Served with appetizers at a small dinner party and even skeptics enjoyed! Definitely go for the Hendrick's gin - Trader Joe's carries it. Rather than using a blender and dividing, I dumped it all in a big bowl and used the stick blender, then strained in a fine nylon mesh bag.

One of my all-time favorite summer cocktail recipes. Cold, fresh, and refreshing. It's the perfect start to an outside barbeque or a pool party. It's become a summer tradition in our house.

A lot of work to make the juice. Crisp and refreshing flavor. Would make again as an option for a party.
