  • 1 cup(s) rice
  • 1/4 cup(s) split moong dhal
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) gee
  • To Temper
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Jeera
  • 1 tablespoon(s) whole pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon(s) ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) Hing(Perungayam)
  • 4 whole(s) cashew
  • 2 whole(s) green chilies


  1. Roast moong dhal until slightly brown
  2. Cook moong dhal and rice with 5 cups of water for 3-4 whistle(25 min)
  3. Add gee in pan an fry cashew as set aside
  4. Add oil to pad and add other To Temper items and fry
  5. Add salt and hing
  6. When the whistle is released add all the tampering items and stir well
  7. Add salt according to taste
  8. Server with coconut chuttny
