- 2 vanilla bean pods (seeds already scraped for another recipe)
- 3 cups sugar
- Cut each vanilla bean pod into 4 pieces, splaying open each piece to expose any remaining vanilla seeds and essence. Place in a canister or a plastic container with sugar, and stir gently. Cover canister, and store in a cool, dry place. Discard pod pieces after 1 month.
