Yield pastry for 1 (10-inch) pie


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup cold water

How to Make It

  1. Combine flour and salt; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle water, 1 tablespoon at a time, evenly over surface; stir with a fork just until dry ingredients are moistened.
