Sylvia's Homemade Biscuits

These biscuits are my mother-in-law's top-of-her-head recipe, and they're delicious!

  • 2 cup(s) self-rising flour
  • 1/3 cup(s) Crisco
  • 1 carton(s) Borden's cultered buttermilk


  1. Mix flour and Crisco with biscuit mixer or two knives.

  2. Add buttermilk until wet when stirred.

  3. Lay out mixture on floured board. Cut with biscuit cutter or glass.

  4. Bake at 375 until browned.
