  • 8-10 ounce(s) fresh green beans raw


  1. Snap the ends off of the green beans. Wash thoroughly. Place in steamer basket. Fill a saucepan 1/3 of the way with water and place the steamer basket inside. Cover the pan with its lid.

  2. Turn the heat to high and wait for the pot to boil. When it does, turn the heat down to medium and keep the lid on. Set timer for 2 minutes and check the beans for done-ness. Remove from the heat the instant they are cooked to your liking.
