  1. 8 small or 6 large apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
  2. 1 cup water
  3. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  4. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  5. 2 tablespoons minute tapioca
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  7. Place apples in skillet and cover with remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, reduce heat and simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Pour into a sprayed 9 inch square dish.
  9. 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  10. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  11. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  12. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  13. 3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
  14. 1 egg
  15. About 5 tablespoons milk
  16. Mix topping ingredients in a bowl and beat till smooth with a whisk. Drop over apples by spoonfuls and spread. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven 20 – 25 minutes until topping is brown. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream on top. Enjoy!
