Salmon Cakes and Asian Slaw

  • Asian Slaw
  • 1/4 cup(s) rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup(s) light mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon(s) sugar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoon(s) grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) wasabi paste
  • 10 cup(s) shredded cabbage
  • Salmon cakes
  • 3 can(s) wild Alaskan salmon
  • 1/4 cup(s) bread crumbs
  • 1 eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon(s) cumin
  • 1/4 cup(s) light mayonnaise
  • 1-2 teaspoon(s) wasabi paste
  • 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil


  1. For slaw, mix all ingredients except cabbage. Pour over cabbage and mix well. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  2. Mix the salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, mayo & wasabi. Form into 12 patties. Heat oil over medium heat. Cook patties 3-4 minutes per side or until browned. Serve over slaw.
