Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

  • 12 ounce(s) penne pasta
  • 1/4 cup(s) butter
  • 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 clove(s) garlic minced
  • 1 red bell pepper died
  • 1 pound(s) medium shrimp peeled
  • 1(15oz) jar(s) alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup(s) romano cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup(s) cream
  • 1 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup(s) parsley chopped


  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain. Meanwhile, melt butter together with olive oil in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in onion. Cook about 2 minutes. Stir in garlic and red pepper. Cook on medium-high heat about 2 minutes longer. Stir in shrimp and cook until firm. Pour in Alfredo sauce, cheese, and cream, bring to a simmer while stirring constantly for about 5 minutes. Stir drained pasta into and serve with sprinkled parsley.
