  • 2 cup(s) butter softened
  • 2 cup(s) white sugar
  • 2 cup(s) brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon(s) baking soda
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 5 cup(s) rolled oats
  • 4 cup(s) semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 ounce(s) Hershey's chocolate bar grated


  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together in a separate bowl: salt, baking powder, baking soda, flour and oatmeal (but small amounts of oatmeal in blender until it turns to powder). Measure 5 cups of oatmeal before it is "powderized" . Mix all above ingredients together. Add: chocolate chips, grated chocolate bar and chopped nuts. Roll into golf ball size balls and bake on greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart for 8-10 minutes. do not overbake
