Saw this recipe on a Facebook posting and it was Awesome! The cake by itself didn't have a strong lemon flavor and the icing gave it that. We thought it would be a good substitute for pound cake as not as much butter in the recipe and reminded us of pound cake. The cake by itself without icing would be a great way to serve fresh sliced strawberries. We will definitely be making this again. I exchanged 1/2 C of the flour for whole wheat and it didn't affect it.
