Keeneland's Bread Pudding & Bourbon Sauce
- 2-6 tablespoon(s) Bourbon
- 1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
- 6 cup(s) day old bread
- 8 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 gallon(s) milk
- 2 cup(s) powdered sugar
- 2 stick(s) softened butter
- 2 cup(s) sugar
- 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- Whick sugar into milk until dissolved. In another bowl combine beaten eggs and vanilla. Soak bread cubes in liquid mixture several hours or overnight. Pour into 8x11 pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and press into bread. Bake at 250 for about 1 hr 15 minutes or until firm and golden. Let cool before cutting. For Bourbon sauce- Combine 2 sticks softened butter with 2 cups powdered sugar and 2-6 tablespoons of Maker's Mark bourbon (to your taste).
