Grandma Diser's Caramel Frosting

- 1 cup(s) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup(s) white sugar
- 6 tablespoon(s) butter
- 1/3 cup(s) milk
- Combine all ingredients in a heavy pan.
- (Grandma always had Guersney cows milk, which had a lot of cream. I usually use whole milk or sometimes add just a little whipping cream to 2% milk.)
- Cook to a rolling boil.
- Boil one minute.
- Pour into a metal mixing bowl to cool a little.
- Beat with electric mixer until it looks creamy instead of opaque.
