  • 3 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 small fennel bulb cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small onion thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoon(s) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 pound(s) ground beef chuck
  • 4 ounce(s) Gouda sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns

  3. Form beef into 4 1/2-inch thick patties and season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Heat remaining teaspoon oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Cook patties 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare. During last minute, top w/cheese and cook, covered.
