  • 1 can fruit cocktail including juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 t baking soda
  • ICING:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 c canned evaporated milk
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 t vanilla


  1. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle approx 1/2 c brown sugar and 1/2 c pecans over the batter. Bake at 350 for 40 min depending on you oven. . To prepare icing, combine butter, milk and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, this may take 15-20 minutes. Add vanilla. Pour icing over cake while it is still warm. Cool and store in the refriderator.
