  • 1/2 cup(s) butter
  • 1 cup(s) flour
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 3/4 cup(s) milk
  • 2 1/2 cup(s) fruit sweetened to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 425. Melt butter in 8" X 8" X 2" pan. Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add milk slowly to make paste. Pour over butter; add fruit and do not stir. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes.
