  1. Crockpot Salisbury Steak

  2. 2 lbs.lean ground beef
  3. 1 (1-oz.) envelope dry onion soup mix
  4. 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  5. 1/4 cup milk
  6. 1/4 cup flour
  7. 2 TBSP vegetable oil
  8. 2 (10.75 oz.) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  9. 1 (1-oz.) packet dry au jus mix
  10. 3/4 cup water

  11. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, bread
  12. crumbs, and milk using your hands. Shape into 8 patties.

  13. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge the
  14. patties in flour just to coat, and quickly brown on both sides in the
  15. hot skillet. Place browned patties into the crockpot stacking
  16. alternately like a pyramid. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream
  17. of chicken soup, au jus mix, and water. Pour over the meat. Cook on
  18. Low for 4 to 5 hours, until meat is well done.

  20. NOTE: We found this a little too salty for us, so you may want to
  21. reduce the amount of onion soup mix and the au jus mix...maybe only
  22. use half of each mix...other than that it was very tasty. Peg
