Creamy Potato Garlic Soup

  • 3 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 2 stalk(s) celery minced
  • 12 or more clove(s) garlic minced
  • 10 cup(s) soup stock or water & bouillon
  • 1-2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon(s) basil


  1. Add all ingredients together in big boiling pot, boil until vegetables are soft (aproximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours). To thicken soup add 1/2 cup white flour and 2 cups half & half. Whip flour into cream with wire whisk until all lumps are gone. Slowly pour soup, simmer aproximately 5 minutes and serve
