  • 12 slice(s) bread, crusts removed
  • 1/2 cup(s) butter
  • 1 1/4 cup(s) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup(s) chopped nuts
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) milk
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla


  1. Melt butter in 9 x 13 pan then stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Place 12 slices of bread in double layer on top of sugar mixture. Beat eggs and add milk and vanilla. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Uncover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Invert onto plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut into squares, serve warm.
