  • 5 tablespoon(s) all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 5 tablespoon(s) cocoa
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 3 cup(s) milk
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla


  1. In a sauce pan, mix together cocoa, flour and sugar. Measure 3 cups of milk and pour in a separate bowl. Separate the eggs and place yolks in bowl with milk. Stir milk and eggs til well combined. Add a little of milk mixture to cocoa mixture in sauce pan. Continue adding a little at a time until all is incorporated. Cook over medium heat and stir constantly until mixture begins to thicken. When very thick, remove from heat (and turn off the burner), stir in butter, salt and vanilla. Pour into 2 regular pie shells that have been baked according to package directions. Let rest at room temperature 10-15 minutes then put in fridge.
