    This is fantastic! I doubled the recipe and it was a tad bit too sweet. Next time I'll cut back on the sugar. Oh and I did add just a pinch of salt and a couple tablespoons of butter at the end to let it melt when I added the vanilla. Yummy just like my mother-in- law makes.

    Good recipe...It was a little bland to me, so I added about half a teaspoon of salt and it was perfect. It takes about thirty minutes over med-low heat to reach the right consistency.

    Just like my mother made when I was growing up! I was so happy to find this recipe. It is easy and delicious over hot, buttered biscuits!
