  • 2 2/3 cup(s) confectioners sugar sifted
  • 1/4 cup(s) cocoa powder sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt sifted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup(s) butter softened
  • 3 tablespoon(s) hot water


  1. Sift confectioners sugar, cocoa powder and salt into a medium size bowl

  2. Add egg, softened butter and hot water

  3. Blend with spoon and then beat with electric mixer until smooth

  4. This recipe will frost 1 8 inch triple layer cake

  5. ** to frost a 4 9 inch layer cake I made 2 1/2 times the recipe and it was just right
