Apple Spice Waffles

Just adding applesauce and spices to standard waffles.

  • 2 cup(s) buttermilk waffle mix
  • 1 cup(s) water
  • 2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
  • 2 whole(s) eggs beaten
  • 1 cup(s) applesauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
  • water to right consistency


  1. In a large bowl, stir all of the ingredients together until large lumps disappear. Add water or waffle mix to get to the right consistency. Bake in a hot waffle iron as per manufacturer's directions. Eliminate the eggs if you want to make pancakes instead. Recipe should serve 8 to 10 5-inch Belgian waffles.
