Summertime Ophelia Cocktail

Adapted from Olivea Restaurant's recipe for their Ophelia Cocktail

  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • Rosemary Syrup
  • 0.5 cup(s) water
  • 0.5 cup(s) sugar
  • 0.25 cup(s) ground fresh rosemary leaves
  • Ophelia Cocktail
  • 1.5 ounce(s) Tanqueray
  • 0.75 ounce(s) rosemary syrup
  • 0.75 ounce(s) fresh lemon juice
  • club soda
  • crushed ice
  • rosemary sprig
  • chilled 12oz (Double Old Fashioned) glass

Preparation

For the Rosemary Syrup

1. Bring the water to boil

2. Add the sugar & stir til dissolved

3. Remove from heat, add the ground rosemary & stir

4. Steep for 45 min

5. Strain thru fine mesh strainer into clean lidded glass container

6. Refrigerate if not using immediately

For One Cocktail

1. Fill a 12oz glass with crushed ice

2. Add Tanqueray, rosemary syrup, lemon juice & stir

3. Top with club soda & gently stir

4. Garnish with rosemary sprig & serve
