BLONDIES WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS

Ingredients

  • 2 STICKS BUTTER
  • 2 CUPS FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
  • 2 TSP BAKING POWDER
  • 1/4 TSP SALT
  • 1 TSP VANILLA
  • 2 CUPS FLOUR (ALL-PURPOSE)
  • 2 LARGE EGGS
  • 1 CUP SEMI-SWEET CHOCLATE CHIPS
  • 1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS (OPTIONAL)

Preparation

HEAT OVEN TO 350. GREASE 9X12 BAKING PAN; SET ASIDE.

MELT BUTTER, ADD BROWN SUGAR. STIR WELL. ADD BAKING POWDER, SALT AND VANILLA, STIRRING UNTIL COMPLETELY INCORPORATED. ADD FLOUR AND STIR UNTIL WELL MIXED. BATTER WIL BE STIFF. BEAT EGGS SEPARATELY UNTIL STIFF. ADD EGGS TO BATTER. STIR IN CHIPS AND NUTS. SPREAD BATTER IN PAN. BAKE UNTIL TOP BEGINS TO TURN GOLDEN BROWN AND THEY JUST BEGIN TO PULL AWAY FROM SIDES OF PAN. 20-25 MINUTES. DO NOT OVERBAKE. COOL AT LEAST 20 MINUTES MAKES 2 DOZEN.
